Hosted in Manchester by the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre this week has seen the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS), the European Association of Neuroscience Nurses (EANN) and the British Association of Neuroscience Nurses (BANN) attend a joint meeting.
Whilst not looking exclusively at work on brain tumours, oncology was a key topic of discussion and best practice in clinical care and surgical practice was shared.
One departure from the norm though was a keynote lecture on leadership delivered by Sir Alex Ferguson, who was under the critical care of our hosts last year following a brain haemorrhage.
Brain Tumour Research is always proud to be present at this bi-annual event due to the benevolence of the Society. We take every opportunity to engage with the clinical community to hopefully improve the patient experience for those affected by brain tumours.
