Brain Tumour Research is an ambitious charity, passionate about finding a cure for brain tumours through the establishment of dedicated Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence around the UK and challenging the Government and larger cancer charities to increase the national investment for research into brain tumours to £35 million a year and bring parity with other cancers.

Our vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. Our mission is to increase the UK investment in brain tumour research.

Following a year of change we are looking to grow our team in order to increase our contribution to the national investment in brain tumour research and to do more of our vital campaigning work in line with our 2025 strategy.

Director of Marketing and Communications

Brain Tumour Research is looking for an energetic and inspiring Director of Marketing and Communications.

Position: Director of Marketing and Communications

Location: Head office in Milton Keynes – hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in the office)

Line Management: Head of PR & Communications, Head of Digital Infrastructure, Brand Manager

Salary: £69,500 per annum

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

Benefits: Holiday entitlement 25 days per annum, plus UK Public Holidays, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, Death in Service Policy, personal safety app, and the option to join our healthcare scheme.

About the Role

The Director of Marketing and Communications will lead a dynamic and ambitious team to increase awareness of and generate income for Brain Tumour Research, by delivering integrated marketing communication strategies. The successful candidate will be expected to lead and inspire the marketing and communications team, encouraging them to investigate opportunities to communicate our achievements and impact to target audiences, engaging in new fundraising initiatives, making donations, creating partnerships, and joining our campaign in order to help us find a cure for brain tumours.

Director of Finance and Operations

Brain Tumour Research is offering a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join a focused senior leadership team, with ambitious objectives, as Director of Finance and Operations. The Director of Finance and Operations will play a vital role in achieving key objectives to fulfil the charity’s strategic goals, leading a team which includes finance, human resources, systems management, and office management.

Position: Director of Finance and Operations

Location: Head office in Milton Keynes – hybrid working (minimum of 3 days in the office)

Line Management: Head of Finance, Systems Manager, Office Manager, Human Resources Officer

Salary: £71,500 per annum

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

About the Role

The Director of Finance and Operations will support the Chief Executive in the growth of Brain Tumour Research and the realisation of the organisation’s vision and strategic goals, ensuring effective strategic and operational financial planning, monitoring, and reporting, to enhance the decision-making process of the leadership team and Trustees. The Director of Finance and Operations will also ensure that Brain Tumour Research complies with all statutory and external requirements and regulations that support the effective running of an organisation.

Do you have the following:

  • strategic and financial skills, with an understanding of an organisation’s operational requirements?
