Please brief your MP

2 min read

Hello everyone,

As befits a shorter working week, it is a shorter Campaigning Update this week.

Next week’s will be packed with news of the brain tumour debate held on Thursday afternoon in the chamber of the House of Commons, and then a full report on Health Minister Ashley Dalton joining the APPG on Brain Tumours this coming Tuesday.

As usual, we have produced a briefing document for Parliamentarians to read ahead of the meeting. You can read and download it by following this link, which we would really appreciate if you could send to your MP over the weekend.

As ever, please Cc Hugh (hugh@braintumourresearch.org) and remind your MP that on Tuesday 13th May at 18:00 the APPG on Brain Tumours will be hosting a meeting with Health Minister Ashley Dalton in the Macmillan Suite of Portcullis House and that you, and please do state your reasons why, would be very grateful if your MP could support the APPG and Brain Tumour Research and be present at that meeting.

We will print a full list of MPs who joined the meeting next Friday, and let you know what was asked and what was said.

Until then it is on with the planning and prepping.

Although not unheard of, it is unusual for a Minister to join an APPG so our campaigning must be getting some cut through to merit this special attention.

Thank you all for the part you have played in achieving this.

Wishing you a peaceful time until next Friday.

Karen, Hugh and Thomas.
