Take on the Route to Research

2 min read

Brain Tumour Research has launched a brand-new virtual challenge in which supporters are invited to join us on our journey to find a cure.

In Route to Research, participants commit to covering 676 miles – representing the distance between our Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence – over three months, raising funds to support the incredible work taking place there.

The journey ‘starts’ at our Centre at the University of Plymouth, after which challengers travel to The Institute of Cancer Research in Sutton. From there, it’s onto Imperial College London, and Queen Mary University of London, before heading north to Nottingham, where we have ambitions to open our sixth Centre. Finally, it’s onwards to our Scottish Centre – first stop Glasgow, then Edinburgh.

This is a virtual challenge, so anyone can join in, no matter where you live and how you like to move – simply plot your progress along the digital map as the miles go by.

Participants can run, row, stroll, swim or cycle, mix and matching over the months, and even take on the challenge as a team to split the distance and maximise the fun factor.

The challenge runs from May right through to the end of July, to make the most of the summer weather while doing great things for a great cause.

Sign up for Route to Research today and help bring hope to the thousands of families affected by this devastating disease.
