It’s a Personal Best for London Marathon 2025!

On Sunday 27th April, 94 inspiring Brain Tumour Research supporters laced up their trainers to take on the 2025 London Marathon, raising a record-breaking amount to help us fund the fight to find a cure.

Motivated by heartache but spurred on by hope, collectively the team raised almost £470,000 – a truly astounding amount, which equates to funding for an incredible 171 days of research in our Centres of Excellence.

Every runner in our team had a personal reason for taking part, each with their own brain tumour story, and we’re so grateful to them and all of those who donated to the cause.

In addition to our UK runners, we had international team members travelling from Dubai, Canada, USA and Ireland, all creating their own piece of history as they raced around our capital city.

“It was an incredible event, and we welcomed our team home in Trafalgar Square,” said our National Events Manager, Carol Robertson.

“It was very emotional as we waited for our final runners, who had given so much on a day that was very challenging and in punishing heat.

“It is an honour and privilege to share in the amazing achievements of this fabulous team, and to celebrate their wonderful fundraising and mark the deeply heartfelt reasons why they trained so hard to complete the 26.2 miles.”

The TCS London Marathon 2026 is also proving to be record breaking, with 1.1 million applications. If you’re lucky enough to be selected in the ballot when the results are revealed in July, please come and join our team and help us continue the race to a cure.
