It is time to do things differently

Join us and amplify the voice of the UK brain tumour community.

Together we can get our voice heard in the corridors of Westminster, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast. Use letters, emails and social media to campaign with us for brain tumours to be treated as a critical priority.

Working together we can get closer to a cure. Brain tumour patients and their families deserve better. They deserve hope. Together we can make that happen.

Contacting with Members of Parliament (MPs) is an essential way of getting our message out, making our voice heard and ensuring our demands are met.

If you have any questions, or need further support, please contact campaigning@braintumourresearch.org.

Supporter Involvement

As the leading voice of the brain tumour community, Brain Tumour Research puts our supporters at the heart of everything we do. Your voices and experiences shape our Charity, giving us insight into the priorities of patients and their families, and drive us to ensure that our work is aligned with the needs of those affected by a brain tumour.

  • Brain Tumour Community Advocacy Network (BTCAN)

BTCAN will bring together members of the brain tumour community to discuss influencing governments to increase the national investment in research into brain tumours and access to clinical trials. At quarterly online webinars, insights will be shared across the brain tumour landscape and there will be the opportunity to hear from key individuals within government, the civil service and academia. To find out more about the BTCAN please email campaigning@braintumourresearch.org

  • Lived Experience Advisory Panel

Our Lived Experience Advisory Panel is a group of people with diverse, personal experiences of brain tumours. Members of the panel represent the brain tumour community, using their experiences and their wider knowledge of the issues and challenges faced by people affected by this devastating disease.

The panel meets virtually throughout the year to help shape and support the Charity’s work, ensuring supporter voices are meaningfully included in our decision-making, and helping us get closer to a cure for brain tumours. Panel members are recruited for a three-year term. Applications are currently closed. If you would like to express an interest in joining the panel, please email hugh@braintumourresearch.org
