Ambassador
Husband and father-of-two Sam Suriakumar was diagnosed with a glioma in 2020 and has since become a committed campaigner and fundraiser. He became our first Supporter Ambassador in 2023.
In 2025, we were delighted to be able to wish Sam a very happy birthday as he turns 40; a milestone he once thought he might not meet.
“When I was first diagnosed, I didn’t even think I’d see the end of the week. Forty was always a big benchmark number because of the poor survival statistics for people with brain tumours.”
To commemorate this, Sam worked with us to create a moving film, in which he delivers a message of hope for the brain tumour community.
