An incredible teenager has organised a virtual relay run to raise money for research into brain tumours in support of his twin brother who is currently undergoing treatment.
Seventeen-year-old Alex Pullan from Greater Manchester has been running 5k every day while his twin brother Matthew undergoes a gruelling course of radiotherapy. Since beginning his challenge in August, Alex has raised a staggering £13,000, and the twins’ story has captured the hearts of the nation with widespread media coverage helping to spread the word.
Now, Alex has set up #MilesForMatthew, a virtual relay run and is calling for people to donate as little as £5 to join in and help him reach a total distance of 874 miles, the length of the UK. Beginning today, #MilesforMatthew will continue all week with the last leg of the virtual relay taking place on 21st September.
