Welcoming our new Fundraising Group

1 min read

We are delighted to welcome the Jason Willis Foundation to our family of Fundraising Groups.

The Group has been set up in memory of Jason Willis, a husband and dad-of-two who was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in January 2019. Jason underwent surgery, followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but in January 2020 he received the devastating news that his aggressive tumour had continued to grow. He passed away on 26th October 2020, leaving his wife Jen and two young daughters, Sophie and Harriet.

Now, Jen has launched the Jason Willis Foundation to keep Jason’s legacy alive.

She said: “Engaging in fundraising and campaigning activity with Brain Tumour Research is emotional, as it is a constant reminder of how much I miss Jason, but it so important to me as well.

“I know he would be delighted and humbled by what we’re doing and by all the support we’ve had. Jason was hugely intelligent, meticulous and thoughtful. I vow to continue fundraising in his honour and in honour of all the other husbands, dads and families everywhere, who’ve been touched by this horrific disease. Let’s keep going and find better treatment options and a cure for brain tumours.”

You can help us champion the fight against brain tumours by setting up your own Fundraising Group. Click here to find out more.
