Get set to make some noise in the month of March

Brain Tumour Awareness Month is almost upon us. Will you join us in our month-long awareness-raising campaign of hope and help us take one step closer to a cure?

To mark its start on Saturday 1st March, join us at 7.30pm as we #ShineALight on this devastating disease, which kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Light a candle, post a photo on social media alongside our hashtag, and let’s send a wave of light around the world to show support for those whose lives have been destroyed by a brain tumour diagnosis.

On Monday 3rd March, we invite you to observe a minute’s silence to remember all those who have lost their lives to a brain tumour. Take part wherever you are, or join with others virtually on Zoom. From 10.45–11.15am, the Brain Tumour Research team will host the event online. Drop us an email if you’d like to participate, and we’ll send you the link.

Throughout the month, buildings across the UK will be awash with our signature colours, pink and yellow, as we Light up the UK in recognition of the desperate need for research funding. It’s not too late to illuminate a landmark near you. Contact us for a template email to request that a building lights up in support of our cause.

We’d particularly like buildings to light up in unison on Wear A Hat Day, on Friday 28th March – the culmination of our calendar of events. As the month draws to a close, put your hat on for hope for our flagship fundraiser and host or attend a hat-themed event in your community, school or workplace. Why not share pictures of your event on social media and ask others to donate £1 or £5 to Brain Tumour Research? To date, Wear A Hat Day has raised more than £2.2 million to support our vision to find a cure for all types of brain tumours.

Together, let’s make a difference this March, and help stop brain tumours devastating lives.
