UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has recognised Brain Tumour Research as an endorsed funder for the Global Talent visa, the UK’s specialist research and innovation visa.
It means the charity is recognised as a prestigious funder of research and innovation with an excellent track record of awarding funding to researchers with critical skills, following a rigorous peer review process.
Dr Karen Noble (pictured), our Director of Research, Policy and Innovation, explains: “This is great news for our research community and means that grants issued by Brain Tumour Research now offer even more opportunities to the researchers and specialists we fund.
“Individuals we fund can now receive endorsement from UKRI for a UK Global Talent visa, where minimum requirements are met, which offers various benefits to the researcher including not limiting the time spent in the UK, allowing family members to travel with the holder, fast-track endorsement process, lower visa fees and the flexibility to choose the visa length.”
