Brain Tumour Research has announced an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime challenge that will see participants trekking 50km through the Moroccan desert to raise funds and awareness in the quest to find a cure for brain tumours.
Taking place during Brain Tumour Awareness Month, Trek Sahara 2025 is set to be a six-day adventure, running from Thursday 27th March to Tuesday 1st April 2025. It will include two full days and two half days trekking across ancient dried-up riverbeds, ever-changing dunes and vast sun-baked plains.
Camping under the stars (weather permitting), traditional cuisine and expert knowledge provided by professional English-speaking Berber guides are also on the incredible itinerary.
A self-funded place on the trip costs £1,295, which includes return flights from the UK, all transportation in Morocco, five nights’ accommodation in hotels and tents, all meals, local guides and support crew on trek and a farewell presentation dinner.
Participants are also required to raise a minimum of £2,740, which is the cost of a day’s research at one of our four Centres of Excellence. A limited number of charity places are also available.
An online information evening will be held at 7pm on Thursday 15th February 2024. This will be an opportunity to find out more about the challenge, see the full itinerary and ask questions. To attend the information evening, please complete the registration form.
