A Salford-based recruitment consultancy has presented Brain Tumour Research with a cheque for £100,000 to help find a cure for all types of brain tumours.

Morson Group donated the inspiring sum of money following a year of fundraising by employees, which culminated in a cheque presentation last week (Friday 9th February).

A Morson Group spokesperson said on Instagram: “Every year, our colleagues select charities based on personal connections, and this year, the British Heart Foundation and Brain Tumour Research were chosen. The latter holds special significance as a tribute to the late Dr Kevin Gorton, a former Morson Group director.

“Throughout 2023, our dedicated colleagues demonstrated tremendous effort in organising fundraising activities, including office bake sales, hamper raffles, a charity bike ride, golf days, a firewalk, dress-down days, and more.”

Employees also took part in an abseil, Wear A Hat Day and The Great Manchester Run, and Morson Group HQ shone brightly for Light Up The UK during Brain Tumour Awareness Month in March last year.

We were delighted to be chosen by Morson Group as a Charity of the Year 2023 and give our heartfelt thanks to all the people who worked tirelessly to raise this incredible sum of money.

Together we can make a difference and bring hope to families devastated by this disease.
