Foysol Choudhury MSP (Scottish Labour Lothian) kindly tabled a Parliamentary Motion in the Scottish Parliament to mark the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month.
A Parliamentary Motion is a short proposal that allows MSPs to indicate their support of a particular cause.
This motion, which can be read online here, draws attention to Brain Tumour Awareness Month, emphasising the importance of raising awareness of brain tumours and the devastating impact the disease has on many thousands of families in the UK every year.
It also celebrates the great work of Scottish researchers and notes the importance of scientists in Scotland being able to access further funding, including from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), to continue this vital work.
The motion has already received fantastic support from more than 25 MSPs.
