Lock & Co continues to help Brain Tumour Research to get ahead

1 min read

Established in 1676, Lock & Co. is the oldest hat shop in the world and one of the oldest family-owned businesses still in existence. Revered for its centuries-honed craftsmanship, its innovative designs have graced the heads of some of the greatest figures in history. Admiral Lord Nelson wore Lock’s bicorne into the Battle of Trafalgar. Sir Winston Churchill adopted its Cambridge and Homburg hats as his trademarks. Dashing author Oscar Wilde was a fan, while the equally debonair Beau Brummell procured hats from Lock as part of his sartorial repertoire.

There couldn’t be a partner of greater provenance for Wear A Hat Day than Lock Hatters and we are delighted the company has supported the event and Brain Tumour Research for many years – a fact that this picture celebrates. Our Head of Stakeholder Relations, Hugh Adams, is handing a glass keepsake to Lock Hatters Managing Director Ben Dalrymple. The keepsake represents the research that Lock & Co. has funded and the continuing nature of that support. Together we look forward to Wear A Hat day 2020.
