Brain Tumour Research has announced that its premier event, Wear A Hat Day, will return this year on Thursday 28th March, raising vital money to bring hope to patients and their families.
Wear A Hat Day is one of the UK’s biggest and best-loved brain tumour awareness and fundraising days.
The event brings people together across the nation, as they put on their favourite hats at work, in school, with friends and family and host hat-themed fundraising events or donate money.
This year’s campaign is led by four supporters who know only too well the pain of a brain tumour diagnosis.
The charity’s Patron, Theo Burrell, is living with a glioblastoma (GBM). Sam Suriakumar, our first Supporter Ambassador, is undergoing treatment for a glioma. Betsy Griffin was left blind after brain tumour treatment but remains defiantly positive. And Eddie Adams has outlived his prognosis after being given just three to five years to live.
While Wear A Hat Day is officially on Thursday 28th March, supporters are invited to participate any time throughout March, which is Brain Tumour Awareness Month.
Taking part is easy. Since 2010, our supporters have been raising millions with hat-tastic challenges and events, or simply by donning a hat and making a donation.
You can help make this the biggest Wear A Hat Day yet and fund the fight to find a cure for brain tumours. Find out more and register here: https://braintumourresearch.org/pages/wear-a-hat-day
