Today marks the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month and we have a busy programme of activities for you to get involved with.
This morning at 11am, floral tributes will be laid at the foot of the Walls of Hope at our Research Centres of Excellence. This will be followed by a minute’s silence held at each Centre, as well as being marked virtually by the Brain Tumour Research team. Wherever you are, please join us as we pause for a moment of reflection to remember all those lost to this devastating disease.
Throughout March, there are many ways you can support Brain Tumour Research. From setting up an online fundraiser to engaging with your MP, sharing your story, to making a dedication, we’ve compiled some different ideas for how you can get involved to help us get closer to a cure for this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Awareness Month culminates with Wear A Hat Day on Friday 26th March. Now in its 12th year, Wear A Hat Day has raised more than £2 million to help fund the fight against the disease. It is one of the UK’s biggest and best-loved brain tumour research awareness and fundraising days and this year we are celebrating key workers who have played a crucial role throughout the pandemic.
