A loving husband and father of three who died following a brain tumour diagnosis is being remembered with an unforgettable One Night in Nashville themed race night to raise money to help find a cure.
Gwilym Llewellyn, from Penpedairheol in South Wales, died in May 2021, leaving behind his wife, Cerian, and three daughters, Shannon, Jess and Liv (pictured together below on their last family holiday). After the keen cyclist began suffering migraines, which he attributed to medication for a broken femur, Gwilym had a seizure and a scan revealed a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma.
Surgeons removed most of the tumour but an infection from his surgery scar spread and nine weeks later he sadly passed away.
Now, Brain Tumour Research has teamed up with Chepstow Racecourse to host an evening of fast-paced horse racing and live country music from One Night in Nashville on Saturday 8th June, in memory of Gwilym.
Tickets for this exclusive event include a drink on arrival and three-course meal and can be booked in tables of 10 or as single tickets on a shared table.
