Eamonn’s Vision
This Fundraising Group was created in loving memory of Eamonn Nugent, lost to an astrocytoma in October 2024, aged just 31. A dedicated senior orthoptist, Eamonn’s diagnosis came about after he noticed subtle mood changes and mild anxiety.
Determined to make a difference, Eamonn used his passion for music to help others. A talented bodhrán player, he recorded an album called The Waiting Room of his favourite traditional Irish tunes (in which he plays the traditional Irish drum) to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research and Brain Tumour Ireland.
After his death, Eamonn’s wife Sarah and sister Ciara founded Eamonn’s Vision to continue the legacy he began – supporting vital research and raising awareness to bring hope to others facing brain tumours.
