This August, turn your miles into momentum and help change the future for people affected by brain tumours. However you move, you can power life-changing research while boosting your own wellbeing.
Ready to get moving? Shift gears and sign up to our Cycle 274 Miles in August (back again by popular demand) or hit your stride with our brand-new fundraising campaign, Run 31 Miles in August. Whatever route you choose, you’ll be driving real change with every mile.
Emma Reid (image top centre) took on Cycle 274 Miles in August last year with her colleagues (image top left), raising more than £800 in memory of her beloved husband Andrew (pictured above right with Emma), who died from a glioblastoma in 2024, aged just 50.
United by a shared goal, Emma and her team at Traybakes came together to honour Andrew’s memory and push for progress.
Emma said: “Taking part in the Cycle 274 Challenge with my amazing colleagues at Traybakes was a real team effort. Everyone chipped in, some cycled outdoors, others used the exercise bike at work, and even one of our team’s little boy, Isaac, did a few miles for us. Together we raised awareness, shared Andrew’s story and helped fund the research that is so desperately needed to find better treatments and, one day, a cure.”
Whether you’re clocking up laps on a treadmill, cruising through country lanes, or pounding city pavements, every step and pedal stroke helps fund vital research. Because right now, brain tumours remain the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 – and that’s a finish line we refuse to accept.
This is your challenge, your pace, your journey. And you won’t be going it alone. Join our supportive Facebook Group to stay on track, share your progress, and cheer others on along the way.
When you sign up, you’ll receive a free cycling jersey or emoji t-shirt, a printed mileage tracker, and a fundraising pack filled with tips to help you go the distance. Plus, as you hit fundraising targets, you’ll be on track to receive free goodies and a special medal at the end of the challenge.
Every mile matters. Every donation moves us closer to a cure for this devastating disease. And together, we will bring hope to thousands of families affected.
