This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, please support our vital work to find a cure for brain tumours and share your dedication.
To learn that a child has been diagnosed with a brain tumour is shattering. We are working with families affected to highlight the devastation of a childhood brain tumour diagnosis.
They include the family of eight-year-old Katie Paterson (pictured), who was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma in December 2020. Her mum, Elaine, described the terrifying moment they were given the news of Katie’s diagnosis.
She said: “I felt complete numbness. The fear that came over me was like nothing I’d ever felt before. It was like I was living somebody else’s life.”
We have created a special page where you can make a dedication in memory of a child lost or in support of a young person who is currently living with this devastating disease. You can share their name and a favourite photo, write a special message and donate.
Please help us fill this page with heartfelt tributes to those affected by this devastating disease. The money you give will help us get closer to a cure for all types of brain tumour, including childhood brain tumours.
