Here is a roundup of some of the latest research news stories from around the world that are of interest to the brain tumour community.


Immunotherapy is on everyone’s lips and this article looks at a new drug that may be able to rally the immune system to attack cancer cells in patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) brain tumours.

Also concerning GBM is this piece on the tumour’s “shape-shifting nature” and as Mariella Filbin, MD, PhD says in this article. "It's a very vicious tumour that we haven't gotten a handle on." Brain Tumour Research funds research into GBM at our QMUL research centre.
