Our Future Health is seeking members to join its Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board.
Brain Tumour Research is an affiliate charity of Our Future Health. An ambitious collaboration between the public, charity and private sectors to build the UK’s largest health research programme, Our Future Health’s goal is to revolutionise the way we fight disease by collecting information from millions of volunteers across the UK to help researchers find ways to prevent, detect and treat diseases earlier. Its aim is to establish a cohort of five million adults which truly reflects the UK population.
By ensuring representation across key sociodemographic characteristics of the UK population, Our Future Health will help to identify differences in how diseases begin and progress in people from different backgrounds in order to make discoveries that benefit everyone.
Our Future Health is currently recruiting several new members to its Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Board. It is specifically looking for people who can help achieve its goals through providing expertise and strategic advice on involvement, engagement and retention of people from communities that are often under-represented in health research, including Black, Asian and other minority ethnic groups, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
