We are excited to announce that our Walk of Hope is back and will take place on Saturday 25th September.
Last year, our amazing family of Fighting Force heroes raised £200 thousand – that’s the equivalent of more than two months’ worth of research into this devastating disease.
This September, you can help us go one step further. We are hoping to raise more than £300 thousand from this year’s event so that we can open a fourth UK-based Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence in 2022.
To take part, register online and set up your JustGiving page. Set yourself a target to raise £274 (representing 10% of the cost of a day of research) and aim to smash it. Once your JustGiving page is set up, you’ll receive a FREE Brain Tumour Research emoji t-shirt. These fabulous t-shirts are new for 2021 and walkers will be the first to receive them.
What’s more, if you raise £274 or more, you’ll also receive one of our new eco-friendly wooden medals in recognition of your amazing achievement.
Joe Woollcott, our Community Development Manager, said: “It’s easier than ever to take part in ourWalk of Hope. Simply sign up, choose your route and walking companions, set up and share your JustGiving page and you’re ready to go!
“We want to make this the biggest Walk of Hope yet, with walkers across the UK taking part and creating a ‘sea of pink’. Wherever you are, please register today and raise money to help fund the fight against the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under the age of 40.”
