Join us for a minute’s silence

1 min read
Every year at the beginning of Brain Tumour Awareness Month, we take the opportunity to pause, reflect and show our respect for all those lost to brain tumours.

A short poem is read, followed by a minute’s silence at 11am. Afterwards, at each of our Centres of Excellence, a commemorative wreath will be placed at the foot of the Walls of Hope.

Wherever you are at 11am on Monday 1st March, please pause for a moment of reflection and remembrance as we read out the following poem:

We thought of you with love today,

But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday,

And days before that too.

You are forever in our hearts.

This year, the Brain Tumour Research team will observe the minute’s silence virtually via Zoom. If you would like to join us from 10:45-11:15am, please email hugh@braintumourresearch.org

We hope that this can become a national observance, so please participate and remember your loved ones and all of those lost to this devastating disease.
