GoGoVox announced as headline sponsors of our special 15th anniversary event

On Thursday 13th March, during Brain Tumour Awareness Month, we’re set to commemorate 15 years of game-changing advances in our Research Centres of Excellence, with a memorable gala dinner.

Held at The Dorchester hotel, London, Closer to a Cure – 15 Years of Impact promises to be an evening of inspiration and celebration, and we’d love you to be part of it. But tickets are selling fast – don’t delay in securing yours today.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our headline sponsor GoGoVox, an online competition platform, guests will enjoy a Champagne reception and mouthwatering three-course meal, before being entertained by exclusive performances from our Patron Alfie Boe and others.

The evening will be hosted by long-time supporter of the Charity Sarah Beeny, who will be joined by our Patrons and Ambassadors and a raft of inspiring speakers.

Managing Director of GoGoVox, Mark Beeny, said: "GoGoVox is incredibly honoured to be the headline sponsor for the Brain Tumour Research gala dinner, an event that resonates deeply with our team and our community.

“Our connection to this vital cause is personal and heartfelt, rooted in the story of our dear friend Penny Church, who lost her son, Finlay [pictured below with Penny], to a grade 4 glioblastoma in 2014. This year holds particular significance as we reflect on Finlay’s life – he would have been celebrating his 21st birthday in May but, instead, we mark a decade since his passing on 25th November.

“Finlay was a bright, funny and courageous boy who faced unimaginable challenges with unwavering spirit. Despite major brain surgery and rigorous treatments, the disease took him far too soon, at just 11 years old. His loss is a stark reminder of the devastating impact of brain tumours, which remain the leading cause of cancer deaths in children and young people under 40, yet receive only 1% of national funding.”

Our gala dinner provides a unique opportunity to shine a light on this and other shocking brain tumour statistics, so that we can continue to fight for change in the future. A single guest ticket for the evening is £275 and tables of 10 are priced at £2,740 – representing the cost of a day’s research at a Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence. Be part of this unique event and book your tickets today.
