I’ve worked in the charity sector for 20 years and four and a half of those have been for Brain Tumour Research. I want to play a part (no matter how small) in helping us get closer to finding a cure to prevent more people having to deal with the devastation of this incredibly cruel disease. Our supporters are at the heart of all we do, and I am constantly blown away by their passion and dedication to find a cure.

Working at Brain Tumour Research is incredibly meaningful to me, especially after losing my dad to a secondary brain tumour. Over the past few years with the charity, I've had the privilege of meeting and working with some truly inspirational people. I love helping supporters turn their passions into powerful fundraising, whether it's running marathons, knitting blankets, or hosting bake sales. Since joining the charity two years ago, I've loved being part of the Community Fundraising team and getting to support our fantastic supporters while they take on their fundraising.
One of the most unique fundraising ideas I’ve supported was a group of friends dressing up as pirates for a weekend and voyaging around the Isle of Wight raising awareness and funds for us on their way. My role as Community Fundraiser based in the North & The Humber is to work with our amazing supporters to raise vital funds and awareness to fund research towards finding a cure for brain tumours. It involves lots of inspiring chats and meeting some awe-inspiring people, and I'm passionate that each and every supporter knows how much we appreciate their efforts and receives the very best support in their fundraising endeavours. Without our supporters we would not be able to do what we do and for that, we are eternally grateful. -

I first became a supporter of Brain Tumour Research after I lost my mum to a glioblastoma (GBM) in 2008 because I wanted to help stop anyone else having to witness and live through the devastation that comes with this brutal disease. In 2021 I secured the role of Community Fundraiser and I have met far too many people who know someone affected by a brain tumour.
Whether you want to bake up a storm, do a sponsored head shave, hold a sponsored walk or even run a marathon, I'd love to hear about your plans and support your fundraising. -

I have a real passion for believing that there are no limits to what you can achieve! I LOVE my role as the Community Fundraiser for the East Midlands for Brain Tumour Research. No two days are the same and our wonderful supporters are at the heart of everything we do. I feel honoured that I am, along with our amazing supporters, on an incredible journey to help find a cure of all types of brain tumours. I have years of experience in events, hospitality and fundraising and am always looking for a new challenge. Let’s bring it on!

I have been a fundraiser for more than 25 years and have met so many amazing people, both supporters and colleagues, who have all inspired me in many ways. Fundraising is my passion and will be for the rest of my days. Over the years I have been honoured to work with walkers, dancers, buskers, auctioneers, runners, abseilers, drummers, strummers, singers, firefighters, footballers, writers, event organisers, quizzer, painters, gardeners…. all sorts of fundraisers!
Brain Tumour Research is a charity very close to my heart, and our whole team is amazing. I feel great purpose and privilege to working for a charity with a real mission to improve the outcomes for people with brain tumours through research or campaigning. -

I joined the Brain Tumour Research Fundraising team in 2023 and have loved every minute of working for the charity. From skydives and abseils to bake sales and quizzes, it's amazing how many creative ways our supporters get involved and raise funds to help find a cure. I love supporting our wonderful community with their fundraising activities and celebrating their incredible achievements.
