Behind the final door of our Advent Appeal, is a special Christmas Eve message from our first Supporter Ambassador, Sam Suriakumar, and his pal, Truffles the Elf.
Sam, a father-of-two, was diagnosed with a low-grade glioma after suffering a cluster of grand mal seizures whilst on the train on his way home from work in February 2020.
The 38-year-old, who has raised more than £40,500 for Brain Tumour Research, is sharing his story to urge people to donate what they can to help fund research and find a cure for this devastating disease.
A scan in July revealed that Sam’s tumour had grown. He underwent surgery and radiotherapy and is now preparing for chemotherapy.
The recruitment consultant and musician said: “We’re going to find a solution for families, for people like me, because I want lots of Christmases to come.”
