Rugby legend leads fundraising efforts at prestigious Birmingham event

Last night the West Midlands Property Awards took place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

This prestigious event attracted in excess of 400 attendees and was managed by Insider Media, the UK’s most successful regional B2B media company.

Insider Media has a special reason to support the work of Brain Tumour Research and so we were honoured to be the nominated charity for the evening’s fundraising.

The compere for the evening was rugby legend and broadcaster Martin Bayfield who told us “I had no idea of the statistics surrounding brain tumours but now I do, and I am delighted that Brain Tumour Research will be benefitting from the generosity of everyone here.”

Martin introduced a video featuring our Patron Caprice Bourret talking about her friend Gemma Edgar who lost her brain tumour fight just before Christmas last year. The room was stunned into silence watching this moving piece but was then spurred into action to make a difference by Martin and the resulting collection, although still being counted, will total several thousand pounds.

Our sincerest thanks to all involved in this memorable evening.
