After losing his mum to an aggressive brain tumour, supporter Luke Lambert has set up a new business in her memory.
Jenny Lambert was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour in November 2016. She underwent emergency surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but sadly passed away in November 2019, aged 62.
Following her diagnosis, Jenny raised £8,400 for Brain Tumour Research and placed two tiles on the Wall of Hope at our research Centre of Excellence at Queen Mary University of London.
To keep Jenny’s memory alive, her son Luke has launched a cycling sock business. Using Jenny’s initials in its name, JAL Bicycling is a homage to his mum and he has worked with Brain Tumour Research to produce a special edition sock to raise money for the charity.
Luke said: “When I decided to go ahead and launch the sock business, I got in touch with Brain Tumour Research, as I was keen to see how I could work with them to raise more money for the cause. I am delighted to be working with them to produce a special, charity sock, which is on sale now with all profits going to the charity. The socks feature the Brain Tumour Research logo and are yellow – Mum’s favourite colour.”
