Brain Tumour Research supporter wins big at Pride of Birmingham

Charity supporter and brain tumour patient Katie Smith from Stourbridge, West Midlands, has been named as a winner in the prestigious Pride of Birmingham Awards.

The coronavirus outbreak meant the postponement of last night's ceremony for the awards which recognise courage, caring, compassion and community spirit.

Brain Tumour Research has been proud to work alongside Katie and her husband Luke over the last four years and is delighted that Katie’s fundraising efforts have been recognised with the Stephen Sutton Inspiration Award named after the blogger and activist who did so much to raise awareness of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Katie, we salute you and are looking forward to celebrating with you at Pride of Britain later in the year – you are not only the Pride of Birmingham but the pride of Brain Tumour Research.
