Stenprop chooses Brain Tumour Research as charity of the year

We are delighted that listed property company, Stenprop Management Limited, has chosen Brain Tumour Research as its Charity of the Year.

The charity was nominated by a number of Stenprop colleagues, all of whom have personal connections to brain tumours. Simon Ross, Head of Asset Management, nominated Brain Tumour Research as he has a good friend from university who was diagnosed with a brain tumour, a relative who passed away from brain cancer, and two friends at work who have both lost a parent to the disease. His colleague Sarah Black also gave the charity her vote when one of the mums from her baby group discovered her two-year-old daughter Sienna, pictured with Sarah’s son Carter, had a brain tumour.

The organisation has kickstarted its fundraising with an ongoing “clocktober” challenge. Throughout October, each employee is running, cycling or swimming 75 miles to mark the acquisition of Stenprop’s 75th estate.

Simon, who kicked off the month-long fundraiser by running a marathon on his way to work, said: “I nominated the charity because I was shocked to discover how underfunded brain tumour research is and I hope that Stenprop’s efforts help to make a difference.”

We look forward to working closely with Stenprop to help maximise their fundraising efforts and raise awareness of this devastating disease. If you’d like to make a donation, you can do so via their JustGiving page.
