Hello everyone,

We are proud to announce today that MP Dr Scott Arthur’s Rare Cancers Bill has passed its third reading in the House of Lords. The Bill will now proceed to Royal Assent and be enshrined in law.

A crucial moment for the landscape of research into rare cancers, the Bill promises to accelerate research innovation to improve survival rates for rare cancers, including brain tumours.

Thank you to everyone who has worked with us to campaign for urgent change. We won't stop here – we will keep working to ensure the law, along with other commitments in the National Cancer Plan, is implemented and lives up to its promise for our community.

A reminder to please support the Brain Cancer Justice petition calling for increased funding for research into brain cancer. This petition represents an important opportunity to raise awareness of the longstanding lack of funding in this area, and to build further momentum alongside charities and campaigners working for change.

The petition has now reached over 100,000 signatures, which means it will be considered for a debate, but the more support it receives the better.

Join us for a minute’s silence to mark the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month

At 11am on Monday 2nd March we will be holding a virtual minute's silence, giving ourselves a moment to pause and reflect on why we hold our cause so dearly. We’ll also be sharing memories of those we’ve lost. Secure your space.

If you’d like to do even more to raise awareness, our social media pack includes shareable infographics you can post throughout March to help bring brain tumours into the spotlight.
