World Summit of Brain Tumour Advocates begins

1 min read

This morning in Vienna, the fifth Biennial World Summit of Brain Tumour Patient Advocates opened with introductions from nearly 100 attendees from 30 countries.

Brain Tumour Research is present once again, having attended all four previous summits.

Tomorrow our Head of Stakeholder Relations, Hugh Adams (pictured), will present to attendees on ‘Raising awareness of the challenges of brain tumours through community engagement’.

Before that though there will be opportunities to network and to listen to presentations from scientists, clinicians and patient groups from around the world, all united in the aim of improving options and outcomes for brain tumour patients.

Hugh said: “This is an important event that we are proud to support and we salute our friends at The International Brain Tumour Alliance (IBTA) for all they have done to make this summit happen and to provide worldwide hope and support for brain tumour patients.”
