In Trustees’ Week (3rd to 7th November), today we are announcing the recruitment of two new Trustees whose experience and skills will further strengthen the Board and, in turn, the success of Brain Tumour Research in funding vital research to improve outcomes for brain tumour patients.
Our Trustees, who are all unpaid volunteers, bring a wide range of experience, backgrounds and skill sets to ensure that all operations of the Charity run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, while generating the maximum income to achieve its aims.
Sonia Khan, an award-winning political and communications expert across government, Downing Street and public affairs consultancy brings unrivalled skills in campaigning and policy, as well as marketing and communications, to the Charity.
Oscar Kirby-Hogarty brings significant commercial focus to the Board, including outstanding experience in strategic planning, generating income and governance, having played an instrumental role in organisation growth over the past six years, which tripled his company’s turnover.
Both Sonia and Oscar are deeply committed to our cause. Oscar lost his mum, Lesley, to a brain tumour and Sonia’s husband, Dan, was diagnosed with a brain tumour and has had ongoing treatment over the last 14 years.
Our CEO, Dan Knowles said: “We are grateful to all our Trustees who are vital members of our team, each with their own unique expertise which plays a key role in the development of the charity and helps set our overall strategic direction.”
You can show your gratitude to our wonderful Trustees by making a donation to the Charity.
