The British Neuro-Oncology Society (BNOS) is inviting nominations for the 2024 Young Investigator Award.
Co-sponsored by Brain Tumour Research, the award recognises a young researcher who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of neuro-oncology in the UK.
The recipient will be invited to speak during a dedicated session at the three-day BNOS Annual Conference in July. They will also receive an award of £2,000 to attend one (or more) other neuro-oncology conference.
Dr Karen Noble, our Director of Research, Policy and Innovation, said: “This is a particularly special year as it marks the 10th year that Brain Tumour Research and BNOS have collaborated on the Young Investigator Award. By recognising the contribution of early-career researchers, we hope to encourage them to remain in the field of brain tumour research so that we can build the critical mass of expertise that is needed if we are to find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for this devastating disease.”
The award is open to early-career researchers who are UK-based at the time of nomination. The deadline for nominations is midnight on Wednesday 1st May. Find out more: www.bnos.org.uk/young-investigator-award-2024/
