Help us Light up the UK for Brain Tumour Research

More than 100,000 people are estimated to be living with a brain tumour or the long-term impact of their diagnosis. We need your support to light up venues in our signature pink and yellow colours, to highlight the importance of our work and bring hope to those impacted by brain tumours.

To coincide with Brain Tumour Awareness Month this March, we’re determined to light up as many buildings as possible, to bring attention to this devastating disease.

London King
s Cross Station and Corpus Christi College

In recent years, our dedicated supporters contacted local buildings and famous landmarks, resulting in our pink and yellow colours being displayed across the UK. These included the iconic Blackpool Tower and Warwick Castle, as well as London King’s Cross and Corpus Christi College in Cambridge.

Zara Taylor was just 30, and recently married, when she was diagnosed with a glioblastoma. She set up Zara’s Appeal for a Cure, raising tens of thousands of pounds for Brain Tumour Research before she passed away aged 33. She successfully got Blackpool Tower lit up while she was having treatment.

Zara's dad Keith said: “We’ve supported Light up the UK for brain tumours for a number of years now. It’s an easy way to raise awareness of the desperate need to find a cure for brain tumours and it always means so much to us when we see the Blackpool Tower lit up in memory of our much-missed daughter Zara. Our family is continuing Zara’s incredible fundraising and awareness legacy and encouraging others to take part in Light Up the UK.”

How you can help us Light up the UK

From hotels to halls, schools to stations, this year we want Light up the UK to be bigger and brighter than ever before.
To help us achieve this, email Liz@braintumourresearch.org for a template to help you request that a building lights up in support of Brain Tumour Awareness Month this March.
