It’s Giving Tuesday – an additional date in the philanthropic calendar in response to the unprecedented global crisis caused by coronavirus.
Individuals and organisations everywhere are being invited to take action to express their gratitude for people and services and to support their favourite charities.
Like many charities, Brain Tumour Research is struggling and we have been very open in explaining that some 50% of our annual income is at risk. But we have been buoyed up by the resilience of our supporters and the dedication of so many people who are determined to do their bit to ensure that our work to find a cure for brain tumours and to lobby governments and the larger cancer charities to increase their investment continues.
We have already had a great response to our exciting new lottery, seen some wonderful fundraising through The 2.6 Challenge and were bowled over by everyone who changed their plans to take part in a socially-distanced and often virtual Wear A Hat Day.
Today we are proud to take part in Giving Tuesday and excited to see how all our wonderful supporters will be celebrating and helping those near and dear to them.
