Our Jog 26.2 Miles in May Challenge is back for 2022 and we need your help to make it even bigger and better!
The challenge first took place last year and we were delighted that hundreds of supporters of all abilities laced up their trainers to help find a cure. Amongst them was Sarah (pictured), who signed up to give herself something to focus on leading up to the first anniversary of the death of her best friend to a glioblastoma (GBM).
She said: “I am not a runner, or even sporty, so I built up the miles gradually with a mixture of walking and jogging and definitely saw an improvement in my fitness. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and a feel-good factor that I was doing something positive in my friend’s memory. We need to keep research going to find a cure.”
This year, we want to go one step further and we need your help. And the best thing about this challenge is that you can take part at your own pace.
You can choose to jog, walk, or run your miles – or do a combination – and decide whether you want to do a short distance every day or head out for longer, less often. Complete your miles wherever you like – around your local area, on a treadmill at the gym or at home, or even by doing laps of your garden.
To sign up, join our challenge Facebook Group by clicking here. Then follow the three simple steps to complete your registration and find out how you can get your free emoji t-shirt.
Will you join the challenge and complete a marathon in May?
