Singing sensation Alfie Boe OBE kicked off his new tour with a night to remember in Dundee.
Named after his just released album, ‘Face Myself,’ the tour will see Britain’s best-loved tenor perform across the UK in April and May as he treats audiences to brand new ballads, timeless tunes and fan favourites.
As Patron of Brain Tumour Research, Alfie has used his powerful voice to bring attention to the impacts of brain tumours. After losing his father Alfred to this devastating disease, he’s determined to help us fight to find cure.
From Aberdeen to Aylesbury and Liverpool to Llandudno, the multi-platinum selling artist is bringing a selection of songs to arenas across the country, including a special night at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall.
Each of his tour venues will hold collections where fans can donate to our cause. All contributions will make an enormous difference to our much-needed funding for vital research. So, if you’re attending a concert, please pop in some pounds – and know that you’ll be bringing hope to the one in three people who knows someone affected by a brain tumour.
“Far too many lives have been lost since my father died. There are still too few options for patients and many feel forced to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to fund treatment abroad. We need greater investment in research right now to change the story for brain tumour patients in the UK,” said Alfie.

Brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet, to date, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Katrina Jones, our Head of Community Fundraising, said: “More than 1,600 people will find out they have a brain tumour while Alfie is on tour, but treatment options haven’t changed in decades. We are hugely grateful to our Patron Alfie for continuing to shine a light on the injustice facing brain tumour patients and the critical need for more investment in this devastating disease.”
