A new Fundraising Group has been set up in memory of Steve Gilmour, lost less than nine months after his diagnosis with a grade 4 gliosarcoma, aged 45.
The diagnosis came about after Steve started having headaches and vomiting. He went to Specsavers to rule out any change to his glasses’ prescription and was sent straight to A&E where he had a MRI scan.
Despite surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the tumour returned, three times bigger than before.
He and his fiancée Hannah quickly arranged their marriage – a lovely day with 90 friends and family – but Steve was already deteriorating and in a wheelchair. Hannah lost her husband just two weeks later, on 29 May 2022.
Steve is remembered as an amazingly creative individual who wore many different hats – he was a graphic designer and a toy photographer, but those who knew him best remember him as a drummer in three different bands and a much-loved face on the Norfolk music scene.

Hannah is determined to raise funds and awareness as part of Steve’s legacy to bring an end to suffering through brain tumours or loss.
