Alfie Boe, multi-platinum tenor and tireless supporter of our Charity, has posted a video on his social media, urging fans to donate to our Christmas Appeal.
Alfie Boe knows the devastation that this disease can cause, having lost his father Alfred to an aggressive brain tumour 27 years ago. He said: “The situation for patients like Dad hasn’t really changed.
“I feel incredibly sad to think that families are still facing this awful diagnosis and, nearly 30 years later, there have been so few advances in treatment.”
Speaking to his 119,000 followers on Instagram, Alfie said: "Thank you for everything you've done for the charity Brain Tumour Research up to now. But we're still looking for donations.
"And if you can dig a little bit deeper into your pockets and donate whatever you can, small or large, we'd so appreciate it because we are seeing results."
If you have been touched by Alfie’s story, and his plea on our behalf for more research funding, why not give the gift of hope this Christmas? Only through research will we find a cure – but research costs money, and we need your help to keep funding it.
You can donate to us via Alfie’s Instagram fundraiser, or go straight to our Christmas Appeal and give the gift of hope.
