Six-year-old Albie Price and his autistic brother Reuben, 10, are taking part in a 20 for 20 Challenge to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research in memory of the grandad they “adored”.
The challenge will see “reluctant reader” Albie read 20 different books on 20 separate days, whilst Reuben will be giving talks on 20 different dinosaurs.
Their fundraising is in memory of their grandad, Steve Bastyan, who died in July 2019, just two months after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).
Their mum Zoe said: “They’ve done a couple of fundraisers in the past and they’ve enjoyed having the chance to feel like they’re doing something good in their grandad’s memory so when I saw this challenge on social media I thought it would be a great one for them to get involved in.”
The brothers took to the airwaves to share their favourites memories of their grandad on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. Albie also revealed his favourite book and Reuben shared some of his impressive dinosaur facts. Listen here from one hour and 14 minutes.
