Westminster debate on brain tumour research funding

1 min read

A landmark Westminster debate on brain tumour research funding has been announced.

The general debate will be held within the main chamber of the House of Commons on Thursday 9th March with MPs requested to be in the chamber by 2pm.

Brain Tumour Research is urging supporters to contact their MPs to ask them to attend the debate to call for change and amplify the voice of brain tumour patients and their families. We have created a template email which you can find on our website here.

The template also highlights some of the key recommendations featured in the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Brain Tumours’ (APPGBT) Inquiry Report, launched earlier this week, led by Brain Tumour Research.

Hugh Adams, our Head of Stakeholder Relations, said: “What a chance we have to make our voice heard. But that voice will only be heard, and then amplified, if we can get as many MPs to speak in the chamber as possible.

“That is why today we are calling on all of our supporters who campaign alongside to contact your MP as a matter of urgency, to help us improve options and outcomes for brain tumour patients through improved research funding.”
