We know that our ever-growing army of supporters is spread throughout the UK and we know that lots of you connect with each other through social media, but we love to get people to get together in real time in the same room so that you can learn more about the exciting things going on at Brain Tumour Research. And actually meet each other in person!
We are holding our next Supporter Get Together on 21 January in Oxford where we will hear about the incredible pioneering research being undertaken at our Centre within Imperial College, London by Dr Nel Syed and her team of dedicated researchers, working on scrutinising many aspects of brain tumour biology. This includes studying how tumour cells get their energy, how existing drugs can be made more effective, how artificial intelligence can help provide greater insights into personalised treatments, and how therapeutic strategies around nutrition, including the ketogenic diet, may enhance treatments.
At the Supporter Get Together, there will be the opportunity to learn more about the charity and ask questions, as well as hear about the exciting activities taking place in your local area and new ways that you can get involved.
The Oxford Supporter Get Together is being held at the Holiday Inn, Peartree Roundabout, Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 8JD between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday 21 January. Please note that there will be another Supporter Get Together next month, this time in Leeds, on Wednesday 12 February.
If you are interested in attending one of these events, please complete your details online here and our team will be in touch.
