Brain tumour survivor Claire Bullimore is relaunching her book to help others who have been diagnosed with the disease.
Claire found out she had intraventricular meningioma in 2008, aged 25. She underwent surgery, which left her with life-changing effects including vision loss, memory loss and crippling anxiety. She had to surrender her driving licence and give up her career in the city.
After her diagnosis, Claire was inspired to create an online support network for fellow patients and survivors. In 2011, she began writing a blog Aunty M Brain Tumours, to connect with and help others on a similar journey. Over the years the blog has given Claire lots of opportunities to raise awareness about brain tumours and the issues surrounding the disease.
Now, she is relaunching her book: A Brain Tumour's Travel Tale: Cards On The Table, I Pooed Myself. With new chapters added, the book is a story of hope, recovery and what happens when life doesn’t go according to plan. It aims to help readers gain a better understanding of how brain tumours can be life-changing, with fundamental physical and mental effects.
The book is available as a Kindle or paperback edition on Amazon.
