Our Corporate Partners who help fund vital research into brain tumours
We are proud to be associated with these brilliant companies who understand the importance of our work and recognise how we can inspire their employees and add value to their brand.
City Couriers Direct Ltd
"We at City Couriers Direct Ltd, have partnered with Brain Tumour Research, a very worthy cause, to raise awareness of such a devastating disease, both in and out of the office. We aim to raise as much money as we possibly can by undertaking numerous challenges and getting everyone involved in doing so. We are proud to be supporting a cause that is very personal and close to our hearts."

Go Beyond
We are pleased that Gobeyond Partners have chosen Brain Tumour Research as their charity partner for 2022. They will be encouraging staff to get involved with many fundraising initiatives to raise awareness and vital funds for us, after seeing the fundraising achievements of one of their employee’s families who is living with a brain tumour.

‘Gobeyond Partners is delighted to partner with Brain Tumour Research in 2022 to raise funds for critical research and help find a cure for this underfunded and indiscriminate cancer.’ Richard Davies, Principal Consultant
Hobbycraft
Hobbycraft came on board as official retail partner for Wear a Hat Day 2017 and 2018! Last year Hobbycraft confirmed a further three year collaboration, which was terrific news. The partnership consists of staff fundraising, customer participation, sponsorship, product donations and will also include lots of creative instore activity and competitions for school children and families. Look out for our presence in Hobbycraft stores!
"We have been so impressed by Brain Tumour Research when partnering with them and glad we are able to support such an important cause." - David Westman, (former) Marketing Manager, Hobbycraft
KuSan Accessories
After losing several members of their family to brain tumours, founders of the ethical hat brand KuSan were inspired to design two special bobble hats knitted in our brand colours to add to their range, along with a selection of branded bobble hat keyrings. The hats are being launched into the trade for the UK winter clothing season in September 2018.
The bobble hats will be available from good independent retailers across the country and online from www.hatsandcaps.co.uk. For a list of stockists or to buy directly, visit www.kusan.co.uk. KuSan will contribute £4 from every hat sold and all the proceeds from the sale of the keyrings will help fund our work, which includes game-changing research at our UK Centres of Excellence.
The keyrings can be bought exclusively from the Brain Tumour Research eBay store for £5 each.
Liverpool Victoria
The Heritage team at LV Financial Services are incredibly excited to be partnering with Brain Tumour Research. The opportunity to make a difference both financially as well as raising awareness of this dreadful disease is something we are looking forward to getting involved with. It is a subject very close to many of our hearts and we look forward to sharing how we are working together in the future.
Lock & Co
It has been important to Lock & Co. to support Brain Tumour Research for many years, not least with their annual glamorous and fun Wear a Hat Day. Lock’s is a small family business, yet within our team many of us have family and friends who have, or who have had brain tumours. With so little of the national spend on cancer treatments being allocated to this devastating disease, we feel it is right to help the fight against brain tumours – especially as many sufferers choose to wear comfortable hats during and after treatment.
Plymouth Citybus
In collaboration with the University of Plymouth, home to one of our Research Centres of Excellence, Plymouth Citybus launched a specially branded double-decker bus, raising awareness and funds for Brain Tumour Research as it travels throughout the region over the next few years. The bus helped launch Wear A Hat Day 2018 and will be used at other key fundraising events.
SMH IT Solutions
SMH IT Solutions have chosen Brain Tumour Research as their Charity of the Year for 2023. In addition to taking part in a variety of fundraisers for the charity, like Wear A Christmas Hat Day and perhaps even a Tough Mudder, they are looking to support by encouraging clients to also get involved. We are delighted to have them onboard raising awareness and funding for us.
SMH-IT offer a variety of innovative IT solutions suitable for various industries and for businesses of all sizes.
Inspired by a friend who sadly passed away from a Brain Tumour, Adam Marlow-Jones said “We wanted to support the vital research that is needed, by raising money and awareness, to help combat this awful disease and hopefully help other families in the future”
Visual Realm Ltd
We are very grateful to Milton Keynes-based Visual Realms Ltd who donated their expertise and visual reality technology to create an enthralling 3D 360° virtual tour of our Centre of Excellence within the University of Plymouth. It provides our supporters and potential corporate partners with an exciting virtual experience and fascinating insights into the research being carried out there.
Visual Realms worked pro bono on the project. Managing director, Iain Row, said: “Our photo-quality 3D models look great on any website, but you can also combine them with Google Cardboard, Google Daydream or Samsung VR goggles for a fully-immersive experience. It’s like being there, even if ‘there’ is thousands of miles away.
“We pride ourselves on being able to create virtual tours in difficult and sensitive environments. Capturing the lab tour at Plymouth was a good fit for us as although it’s no replacement for actually visiting, it shows the quality of what’s already there. We were delighted to be helping a very worthy cause.”
Unique Ideas UK Ltd
Unique Ideas UK Ltd is delighted to work with and support Brain Tumour Research as a charity partner. The organisation is providing the charity with its interactive games and marketing attractions for events, to encourage prospective clients to engage when at business conferences or exhibitions. It is hoped this will lead to increased awareness and funding for the charity as well as helping other companies understand how they can support Brain Tumour Research.
“As someone directly affected by cancer, I wanted to help and say thank you to all the NHS-Bupa team. Brain Tumour Research contacted us and as they say it’s all about timing! This was perfect in every way. We have invited the charity to share with us at a technology exhibition at Excel London, and their game with its wonderful branding will be promoted on the stand. We look forward to helping out on more events both large and small in the future.” – Bob Davies, Managing Director
