There will be touching scenes on our TV screens this week as the residents of Albert Square gather to remember Lola Pearce following her on-screen death from a brain tumour.
Earlier this month, actress Danielle Harold picked up a prestigious accolade at the British Soap Awards for her portrayal of Lola’s brain tumour journey in the BBC’s EastEnders. She dedicated her Best Leading Performer award to Brain Tumour Research.
As her co-stars say their final goodbyes at Lola’s funeral and celebration of life, you can pay tribute to this popular character via our JustGiving campaign, set up to “rewrite the story for real-life Lolas in the future”.

It has been an invaluable opportunity to raise awareness of this devastating disease which is vital as we campaign for great investment into research to improve treatments and outcomes for patients.
“Lola’s story is sadly all too familiar to too many families in the UK; brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. We are determined to change this.”
