A milliner is turning her expertise into fun-filled workshops to raise funds to help find a cure for brain tumours.
Isabella Cobby, owner of Isabella Josie in Arundel, is used to designing and handcrafting luxurious hats, headpieces and hair accessories and on Friday 31st March, she will share those skills in support of Wear A Hat Day.
As well as welcoming students from Chichester College who will be creating hat-worthy hair styles, Isabella will host a fantasy flower workshop where visitors will be able to make Alice in Wonderland-themed flower resin creations.
She will also hold a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, as well as donating 10% of anything she sells through her shop on the day. A number of local shops and cafes will also help raise funds by selling our pin badges.
Isabella said: “It’s going to be a lot of fun. People can come dressed in their own hats or they’re welcome to come and try on any of the ones in my shop.”

Her fundraising is inspired by a friend who died of a brain tumour earlier this year, and another who lives with a brain tumour following her diagnosis seven years ago.
Isabella added: “I also have a lot of customers come in after having operations, including brain surgery, who have lost their confidence and are often unclear about what hats they can wear and what’s going to suit them.”
