A family devastated by the loss of their 11-year-old son to a brain tumour is backing our petition calling for increased national investment for research into the disease.
Finlay Church was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in 2014. He endured surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and took part in drug trials, but nothing could save him. In his final days, he dictated a letter in which he talked of his love for his family and his fear of losing the fight. Finlay passed away 17 months after his diagnosis, aged 11.
Now, Finlay’s mum and dad, Penny and Wayne, along with his brother Kenzie and sister Tegan, are working with Brain Tumour Research to share Finlay’s story in a video being shared on social media to urge people to sign our petition to increase the national investment into brain tumour research to £35 million a year:
